My approach to healing emotional wounds is rooted in the relational and holistic models of internal Family Systems (IFS) and Attachment-based EMDR. I believe you are the expert of your experience and my role is to guide you in accessing your own inner wisdom and the secure base of self-compassion.
Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as a system of interconnected parts, each with its own unique perspectives and roles (if you’ve seen the movie Inside Out, you get the idea!). These parts may include critical or anxious feelings, vulnerable “Exiles,” defensive “protector” parts, and more. IFS can help you understand these parts, build healthier relationships between conflicting feelings, and access your true Self to become the “Wise Adult” leader that your inner world needs. Through this process, you can heal from past traumas, break free from limiting patterns, and unlock your full potential.
EMDR
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a psychotherapy technique that helps people process and resolve traumatic memories. By guiding clients through a series of bilateral stimulation (e.g., eye movements, tapping), EMDR helps reprocess distressing memories and reduce the emotional impact. This can lead to improved mental health, reduced symptoms of PTSD, and greater overall well-being.
