Heidi McKinley, LPC · Individual Therapy
Weekly IFS therapy.
For the patterns that
won't budge.
This isn't about managing symptoms. It's about understanding what's underneath them — and building a real relationship with the parts of you that have been working overtime.

Many of the patterns that bring people to therapy are not problems to eliminate — they are parts of you that developed for a reason.
What this is
Therapy that goes
beneath insight.
Weekly IFS therapy is relational, experiential, and trauma-focused. We slow down, turn toward the parts that are hurting, and do the real work of healing — not just gaining insight about why you do what you do, but actually meeting the parts that drive it.
We follow trailheads as they arise week by week — integrating nervous system regulation, attachment repair, and deeper parts work. This is where you learn to recognize your protectors, connect with younger parts, and build lasting Self-leadership.

The approach.
I don't believe there is a universal approach to healing. Each person's system is different — shaped by different experiences, organized around different protectors, ready to move at its own pace.
My work is grounded in a simple but real belief — that every part of you developed for a reason, and that real healing doesn't come from overriding or managing those parts, but from building a genuine relationship with them.
Using IFS, EMDR, and AEDP as my primary frameworks, we gently access deeper layers of your emotional world. We meet the parts that carry pain and the parts that have been working overtime to protect you from it. We build the conditions — safety, curiosity, Self-energy — that allow real change to happen.
This is not just talk therapy. It's experiential work that unfolds at the pace of safety and connection. Insight is valuable — but here we go beyond it into something more embodied, more felt, more lasting.

Fees & payment.
Intake & integration sessions billed at standard hourly rate $330
Private pay only. Superbills available upon request. Payment processed at time of session through the client portal.
A note on insurance
Why private pay?
Choosing not to work with insurance means I can keep my caseload small, sessions unhurried, and clinical decisions entirely between you and me — without the constraints of diagnosis-driven, time-limited care.
If you have out-of-network benefits, a superbill may allow you to recoup a portion of fees. Call your insurance company and ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before we begin.
If cost is a genuine barrier, reach out — I'm willing to discuss options on a case-by-case basis.
